BONNE TERRE, Mo (News First) – A pedestrian who was killed in an early morning accident in Bonne Terre on Wednesday (Aug 7th) has been identified. Forty-year-old Laura Ann Reagan of Bonne Terre was killed by a car on Highway 47 near Jefferson Avenue just after 5:30 am.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Reagan died after being struck by a 2000 Buick Century driven by 34-year-old Shawn Johnson of Bonne Terre. Johnson’s vehicle approached a hilltop just passed Buchanan Street when it struck Reagan walking in the northbound lane.
Johnson drove away from the scene, but further details are unclear.
